Mark Car Key Phoenix is a mobile automotive locksmith working across Phoenix and the surrounding Valley. This page sets out what personal information passes through our hands, why each piece of it is needed, who else ever sees it, and how to have it removed. It applies both to this website and to work carried out at the roadside, at your home or at your place of work.
Information You Give Us Directly
Everything we hold comes from you. The quote form on this site asks for five things: your name, an email address, where the vehicle is standing, a telephone number, and the year, make and model of the car. That last item is not a formality, because cutting a basic transponder key and key fob programming are different jobs using different equipment, and we cannot put a price on the work without knowing which one you need. Call us instead and the same details are written down by whoever answers. On some vehicles we will also ask for the VIN, so the correct key can be identified before a technician sets off.
We do not buy information about you from anybody else, and we make no attempt to work out anything about you beyond what you have told us yourself.
Proving the Vehicle Is Yours
This is the one step we will not skip. No blank goes into the cutting machine, nothing is programmed and no ignition work begins until the technician has seen your driver's license alongside a registration, title or insurance document carrying your name. What gets noted is the minimum that proves the check happened: the name on the documents, the license number, and the vehicle identification number. Your paperwork is never photographed and no image of it ends up on anyone's personal phone.
If ownership cannot be shown, the work does not go ahead. That rule protects you considerably more than it protects us.
What It Is Used For
Five things, and no sixth. Quoting the work. Routing a technician to where the vehicle actually is. Carrying out the job. Settling the bill. And retaining a service record, which is what allows a warranty question or a call for a spare key eighteen months later to be tied back to your vehicle in under a minute. Nothing here feeds an advertising profile, and nobody who has not asked to hear from us is added to a marketing list.
Who Else Sees It
Nobody buys it, because none of it is for sale, rent or barter. It leaves our hands in three situations only. The technician assigned to your job receives the address and the vehicle details, because without them he cannot arrive with the right key. A card payment processor receives what it needs to complete the transaction and nothing further, and card numbers are not stored by us. And a lawful request from the police or a court, which in practice concerns one specific vehicle, is answered as the law requires.
How the Quote Form Actually Behaves
This is worth stating plainly, because it is not how most contact forms work. The form sends nothing to us over the internet. Pressing the button hands the text you typed to whatever email application is set up on your device and opens a draft message. Nothing travels anywhere until you send that draft yourself, and when you do, it goes through your own email provider like any other message you write. No copy is written to this website, because this website has no database to write one to. Should we ever move the form to an outside handling service, this page will name that company before the change is made.
Cookies, Analytics and Outside Requests
No cookies are set here. There is no analytics package counting your visit, no advertising tag, no session recorder, and nothing whatsoever written into your browser's storage. One request does leave for a server outside our control, and it is the typeface: the fonts are hosted by Google Fonts, which means your browser fetches them from Google and Google can see your IP address while it does so, exactly as it would on any of the millions of sites using that service. Blocking it costs you nothing here. The pages fall back to fonts already on your computer and read perfectly well.
How Long Records Stay With Us
A completed job leaves a record we keep for roughly seven years, which is what warranty, accounting and tax obligations reasonably demand. Enquiries that never became jobs are discarded once it is clear the work is not going ahead. Ask for your details to be deleted sooner and we will do it, unless a law obliges us to hold on to them.
Keeping It Secure
Access is limited to the people who need the information in order to do the work or keep the books. We apply the safeguards expected of any Arizona business holding personal information about residents of the state. No arrangement is flawless, and were a breach ever to affect your information, you and the appropriate Arizona authorities would be notified, as the law requires.
What You Can Ask Us To Do
Three requests are always open to you: show me what you have, correct what is wrong in it, and delete it. A fourth, stop contacting me, will be acted on immediately and without argument. Some states grant their own statutory privacy rights on top of these, and where you are entitled to one and make a valid request, we will meet it. There is no form to complete for any of this. A telephone call does it.
Children
Our customers are vehicle owners, and nothing on this site is aimed at or marketed to children. We have no reason to collect information from anyone under thirteen and do not knowingly do so. If you believe a child has sent us something, call and we will remove it.
If This Policy Changes
When our practices change, this page is edited to match and the date at the top is moved forward, so the date is a reliable indicator of what you are reading. A material change will be spelled out in the text rather than folded in without comment.
